Lindsey and Vincent Jackson set out to develop a series of three children’s books designed to help kids and their parents cope with some of the challenges military life may bring. The book series includes Dealing With Deployment, Soccer Superhero, and A Cool School Story. By reading these books, the hope is that parents and their children can communicate about their feelings and find ways to turn what often are viewed as downsides of military life into positive experiences. These age-appropriate books are designed to be fun to read, while highlighting both the struggles and triumphs military families face. Each of the books focus on one of three pillars, including emotional, educational, and physical health of military children.
